Dear Editor， The 29th Olympic Games will be held in Beijing in 2008．Recently our class have had a discussion about its effects on Beijing． Some students believe there are many good effects．They think the Olympics will encourage people in Beijing to learn English harder，help more people find jobs，prosper tourism and make Beijing more beautiful． Besides it will make China better known to the world．The others think the Olympics will also bring some trouble．For example，at that time，the traffic will be heavier and the environment will be destroyed．Furthermore，holding the Olympic Games will also cause more pollution and waste resources． As a saying goes，a coin has two sides．So I think the Olympics have both good and bad effects．And it is certain that our government will do something to avoid the bad．What is more，our competitors will do better in the 2008 Olympic Games.
